Gary Houchens

Hi. I'm Gary Houchens, a former teacher, principal, and school district administrator now serving as Professor of Educational Administration in the School of Leadership and Professional Studies at Western Kentucky University. I have served as a policy advisor to several education reform organizations and was a member of the Kentucky Board of Education from 2016-2019. I offer this blog mostly for my students and friends who are practicing administrators here in Kentucky, but everyone interested in the art, science, policy and politics of school leadership is welcome to join the discussion.
